By KEITH WHITMIRE / The Dallas Morning News
Quarterback Jason White played with a sprained right hand and a broken bone in his left foot in the Nokia Sugar Bowl, coach Bob Stoops said Thursday.
Stoops also said White is recovering from right knee surgery performed Tuesday. Stoops referred to it as a "cleaning out" procedure.
White is wearing a cast on his hand to rest a sprain that occurred in the Big 12 championship. He also is wearing a cast on his foot for a broken bone. That injury occurred in the Sugar Bowl.
Before the Sugar Bowl, White said all his "bumps and bruises" had healed. He was 13-of-37 passing for 102 yards with two interceptions in a 21-14 loss to LSU.
"He obviously was banged up," Stoops said, "but he competed right through our last game and never complained once."
White is expected to be ready to participate in spring practice.
Briefly...
Junior college cornerback Chijioke Onyenegecha, who sat out the 2003 season after committing to the Sooners, has enrolled at OU.

I'm impressed. Real impressed.
if he has another season like this one, i would hope that he would get the heisman...again.
this guys has gone thru incredible odds to get to the point that he is and he should win it if he can put up the same kinda #'s and lead OU to a 12-1 season (that's assuming a loss to texas
.....wait....who am i kidding here?)
