His momentum has not run out. His poll numbers have begun to rise again after a good showing at the debate, an interview with Diane Sawyer and an appearance on Letterman last night.
He most likely will not be able to catch Kerry at this time, but he will place a respectable distance away. And with a good showing, that would leave Dean sitting ok for the rest of the primary, where his support is much more firm anyway.
