Sometimes it can be funny, like if it's someone who you wouldn't expect it from, or if it's in a funny situation. One of my friends let one rip in the dining hall the other day, and it vibrated the bench we were sitting on. That cracked us all up, because she's a pretty small person.
It's not funny if you're sitting in a crowded car (8 people in a 5 person car) and the person sitting on you lap lets one rip. That's NOT funny...
