I have that issue on my laptop, although, not that frequently. My problem is attributable to distance. I have a desk top that is three times as far away and it gets a very strong signal and never drops off. The card on the laptop just doesn't seem to pick up the signal as strong and consequently, disconnects every so often. If I move closer to the router, it never drops.
I even notice it if my cat is right next to the card in the slot, the signal will drop off. Make him move and it comes back up. Weird. Plenty of variables to figure. Maybe an additional access point to give you more range?
