I like Burke for the fact that he rebuilt the Vancouver Canucks from top to bottom but I have to say that trading Slegr was a mistake instead of a bum like Sopel. If his main concern was keeping a right handed shot on the PP, why not trade for another right hander instead of a draft pick?
I like Brookbank. Makes other teams know that they have to fight a real fighter against the Canucks rather than Brad May.
As for getting a solid 2nd line winger, I think the Canucks could depending on what they're ready to give up. But it looks like the Canucks won't be making any huge deals come the trade deadline.
And as for the future of Burke and Cloutier, something tells me that if they don't get far in the playoffs this year, Cloutier will be run out of town and McCaw won't resign Burke. You'd think that Burke would already have a new contract but he doesn't. I think something's up between him and McCaw.
