That's essentially what a grabber does...
Saving the images on one pages -thumbnails- is in most regular browsers not a problem, it is the linked pages (images) that these grabbers are built for.
You give the grabber a URL, and tell it to replicate the complete site on your computer. You can specify how deep (no pun intended) the links should go, and wether you want external sites mirrored as well. Most grabbers work very well and create a completely browseable local copy of the whole site links, images, video, tekst included.
Now if the full-sized images are named sequentially (or at least predictably) you can use EZpics (I believe) to download only those pictures. You specify it the first picture and how it should derive other pictures' names. The data required for EZpics is called an EZcode. It is mentioned on some sites to make downloading easier.
