I'm not naive enough to think that one victory makes up for a missing player, but it is a good example of the determination of LA. Losing a veteran player like Rick Fox can hurt--but only if you let it. The Lakers role players picked up their effort and at least for one night, they didn't need Fox. Fisher was amazing, Horry played with a lot of energy and Shaw and George filled in some gaps.
It's only one win and I won't claim that one victory means the Lakers will win the title, but one injury certainly doesn't mean that they'll be eliminated.
