DEI7- The Echo Mia card is a high end soundcard! I'm just looking for ways to get my onboard sound to stop messing with my production software.
Zfleebin- I was able to turn the onboard soundcard back on and get everything running. I could theoretically turn it on and off when I switched between computer sound/music production sound but that would be a pain because it requires restarting the computer. I could also use my monitors for the computer sounds but I don't like using them when I don't need to and have a decent speaker setup for the computer's sounds.
My setup includes a steinberg 8x8 external midi interface, an Echo Mia via a PCI slot, and a Gigabyte 8ihxp motherboard with onboard audio. I'm running all my audio through a Mackie mixer then into the Echo Mia via 1/4 inch in's. The PC is running Cubase and I'm (going to be) doing all my midi and audio work on it. I don't think you need to know about anything else....? let me know if so!
Thanks
-Tim
