Dumb lawsuits that people won
I have heard a couple lawsuits that the person sued a company and won even though it was their own idiotic behaviors that caused the problem.
A guy was driving a motor home he put the thing on cruise control and went back to make a sandwich. The vehical went off the road and he was hurt. He sued the company for a million dollars and the cost of a new motor home because it didnt say in the manual that you couldnt leave the steering wheel. Now the manual states cruise control still needs person driving the vehical.
Aother woman won a lawsuit against Burger King. The mother took her children to Burger King for supper everyday and because of it her children are now overweight. She said that no one informed her that her children could gain weight from eating so much fast food.
A woman walking through a store and triped over a child in the middle of the isle and broke her leg. She sued the store for negligance and won. The catcher was it was her OWN child that she tripped over.
