Personally I dont think it was all that much of Pettitte's fault - the Boss always seemed on the verge of letting him go anyways.
Only Clemens can really claim he was liked by the Boss of the rotation last year and thats really where I can see a sense of betrayl.
As for HOF cap - I would say Red Sox now but then again many fans don't want that. The HOF gets the final decision on it anyways IIRC (it was to stop a controversy over who Winfield who go in with and Boggs as well when he tried to buy a way in as a D-Ray).
