TFP Week Three NFL Playoffs (Non-Tournament version)
This is the "non-tournament" version of the TFP playoff pool. All are welcome to play. There have been some changes since the regular season and also from weeks one and two, so please read the new tiebreaker format.
The games will be picked on winner of each game. Note that if both players tie on the games, the tiebreakers are taken in order until a winner is decided. You must pick the correct team/score in order to win the tiebreaker - if your pick is “closer” to the tiebreaker, but still not correct, the next tiebreaker is used.
First Tiebreaker: Highest scoring team of the weekend. You have four teams to choose from. Team name is needed.
Second Tiebreaker: Lowest scoring team of the weekend. Team name is needed.
Third Tiebreaker: First score of weekend. Pick type of score - there are three choices: touchdown, field goal and safety. You must pick the one of the three and it is for the first points scored in the first game of the weekend. (Do not name a team - name the type of scoring play.)
Fourth Tiebreaker: Last score of weekend. Pick type of score - there are three choices: touchdown, field goal and safety. You must pick the one of the three and it is for the last points scored in the second game of the weekend. (Do not name a team - name the type of scoring play.)
Fifth Tiebreaker: Total points of all games played on the weekend. Weeks one and two have four games (eight teams) being played. All points of all teams playing is the last number. Closest without going over. If both go over, then the closest.
A Mod will close the thread the morning of the first playoff game each week. If you do not have your pick in by the time the thread closes, your opponent will automatically win. (Do not complain if the Mod closes the thread at 12:01 am.)
At this point, there is no officially prize other than bragging rights until the first week of the next football season.
Finally, since there is the possibility of "unsportsmanlike" picking (matching your opponents picks and just changing the tiebreaker amounts, etc.), we trust in your honesty and sportsmanship in this endeavor.
Good luck to all those playing!
