Ok, BuddaH I understand where you are comming from.
A friend of mine, however suggested that the Cmos battery might be low or dead. If the Cmos battery is dead and the computer was off for a long period that could be the cause of the first faliure.
But after reading your post I am not sure...
I need to do some more research.
