Nienna arched one flawless eyebrow as Serendice returned from the ring. Then, in one fluid motion, she flung her bow over her shoulder and strolled calmly into the arena.
Her opponent waited pretentiously, arms crossed, ears twitching.
Nienna smiled. The elf she was about to face had not yet seen the bow on her back and was unaware that she would fall before she could move in for any close range attacks.
At the signal from the catwoman, Nienna drew her bow, snapped one arrow into place, and let it fly before the opposing elf could move to draw her own weapon.
The arrow lodged itself in the elf’s right shoulder and she stumbled backwards, tears welling in her eyes. Unable to draw her weapon, she fell to her knees in pain.
The catwoman counted and the elf’s team members rushed out to attend to her.
“That was too easy,” Nienna sighed, slowly returning to her team.
