So you're saying that having technology strapped onto you that winds up turning you into a cybernetic person is foolhardly simply because you don't think that the reason for it is "Because it's cool" isn't good enough?
If that's what I think you're saying, to some people it's cool. To others, it can help with your life. It was mentioned that having some sort of nano technology to clean out your lungs as you smoke sounds extremely benefitcal, especially when it can possiblly prevent cancer. Just an example.
