Still not saying a word, Catherine watches as Simon flys gracefully at her head. However, before he is able to land his blow, Catherine takes the end of the chain that is in her hand and throws in on the same path that Simon is travellling.
The attack is not meant to hurt Simon, just to make him veer off his current path. Thus allowing her to sidestep the blow.
