i spent hours as a young child braiding and rebraiding my dolls hair, my friends, hair, my own hair...
i just realized a few years ago that many people don't know how to braid... it surprised me... i guess i always took it for granted... i don't even know how i learned... i think i taught myself, because my mom certainly was not the hair expert in the house...
it's like anything else... practice, practice, practice... but if you have someone who can do it for you and does a good job... more power to you.
