I actually live in Houston also and here is my two cents...
When my brother got married a couple of years we did like a weekend kinda thing...we had two bachelor parties. One was the family orientatted one with lots of people, food and drinks.
The second one is the one that matters. Of course go the traditional route and hit up a strip club. I might suggest either Treasures or one of the other nice clubs. Since it will be alot of people there will be more money flowing and with more money flowing more possiblity of getting attention from the dancers.
Some people might say hirign a stripper for a private show..but from experience, the club atmosphere always helps liven up the mood and you never get the anticipation of waiting for a stripper to show up.
