so all you want to do is sharefiles and printers and internet?
if so all you need is a 10/100 cards for both computers. Your hub and 2 cat5 cables. Unless you want wireless. And if both computers are runing win xp its cake.

step1: Use to setup home or small office network in my network connections.

step2: on the main computer use the option of "this computer connects directly to the net. And others connection threw this."

step3: And then it will ask you to select ur net connection. Select the one for ur adsl. It will also ask you for workgroup(has to be same on all computers on network) And computer name. Just name it what ever. But make sure you know what ur workgroup is called. It can be anything but has to be the same on all computers. It will ask you to create a network setup disk. Not realy needed.

step4: then on ur second comp do the wizard. it should say that it found a net connection on what ever u named ur main comp.

step5: Just let it do its stuff. And then set up shares and shit like you want it. Then you have a network between ur 2 computers.
