It works both ways. Unless you marry the next girl you go out with, I guarantee this will happen to you on multiple occasions. You will have a crush on someone that doesn't find you remotely interesting. She will put on an act like she is a friend, give you hope that there could possibly be more to it, then have a difficult time letting you off easy because she doesn't want to hurt your feelings. It will happen.
