I think I broke it ...
1993 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series with Limo Package (not stretched)
289(4.6) OHV Engine
Engine was diling roughly an dbackfiring until it warmed up. Diagnostic test showed that teh EGR valve was sticking and that cylinders 3, 5, and 8 weren't putting out as much power as they should have been. I replaced the plugs and smacked the EGR valve wiht a wrench until it un-stuck. It ran fine for a while. It got bad again. I replaced the plug wires as advised by a mechanic. It got really bad. It backfires and misses no mater how warm the engine is, the wires are connected properly in the right order and making contact.
I'm stumped
