[OOC: Team sounds great! I'm not gonna make them the biggest challenge, so we can get things moving, but I'll do my best. Should be fun! Let's get started.]
Slightly stunned at the ease with which Ulgar swung his heavy axe, Sir Gendan hesistated in his reaction and almost paid dearly. However, he was able to raise his kite sheild in defense in time, but the impact of Ulgar's blow moved him many feet backwards and caused him to slightly lose his balance. This meant no counter attack from his mace. "Damn!" Sir Gendan cursed himself, he had missed his opportuntity. Ulgar now stood where he had come down form his assault and waited for Sir Gendan to ready himself.
"You know warrior, you swing that axe with a mighty force, but you will lose. I had the power of God on my side and I will not be defeated." Sir Gendan roared. He then raised his shield, which was restingon the ground, and lunged forward with his mace ready to strike. As he neared Ulgar, he lowered his stance and swung his mae upwards with tremendous force.
