Texas until just last election had been largely Democratic (I'm a texan so this is all first hand knowledge). It was WIDELY known that gerrymandering (sp?) was widespread to keep it Democratic in an increasingly Republican state. Just last election the Republicans took over in a major way for the first time since the Civil War, and they are starting to do the same in return.
Shouldn't have been done in the first place but it IS funny that the exact same Reps who did it for decades now are saying it is imoral and flee the state instead of standing up like a honorable representative.
