where did it all start for you and how has it cahnged to what you like now?
music started for me when i was 5 i listened to whatever my mom was in to:bon jovi, aerosmith, led zepellin, the ramones, the red hot chili peppers, nirvana... granted half the time i didnt even knwo what i was listening to...but w/e...
around 4th grade i got into hip hop... and i was into hip hop tioll about 8th grade where i discovered rap metal and pop punk... then i got into metal, punk and i all types of rock in general... then last year i got into screamo and post hardocore...since alot of these bands were basically saying what i was living this almost ook over my life... but i got back into everythign else... now im into literally everythign but country music... i can't rock it... i dunno y... but im inot everyhting now
What influenced you or conditioned you to like whatever you like now?
i kinda grew into it all... from other genres somehow... its like only natural it occurs that way... that and lately, iv felt that as a musician its important to be open minded and listen to a wide varitety of music ... so ive been listening to even more music than usual
can you see much cahnge in the future?
for myself i dont knwo... maybe fall out of a few trhings... back into older ones... im not sure
for music in general... i think the best period of music was from 1989 - 1998...after that everyhting began to go downhill... around this time bands like the chili peppers, jane's addiction, radiohead, tool, nirvana, smashing pumpkins, hum, rancid, nofx, blink 182, green day, the offspring, guns and roses, all big durign this time... all in their prime as musicans...after 1998 all of these musicans somehow declined wiht a few exceptions
in hip hop... iv seen it crumbleing ever since 2pac and biggie died, i see almost no promise in alot of these new artists and alot of the better ones form back in the day have declined a bit... snoop dogg for example... i havent liked any of snoop doggs new material... and i only see promise on some of the young rappers of today... eminem, 50 cent, outkast, the roots and a few others all make great music
partly a maturity thing as well?
i think the music that influences u the most is the music that speaks to u at the time... wehn i was into hip hop i was concerned about money and popularity/fame
when i was into nu metal i wa shaving a rough period wiht my parents
when i was into pop punk... i was lonely... noone loved me
im always into alt rock... that could be cuz of sum of my emotional problmes...
wheni was really into punk i was jsut angry...i was angry at the system, i was angry at my parents, i was angry at world...
and now that im into this screamo/ post-hardcore/hardcore thing.. its like i kwno im loved... but sometimes i dont knwo what this person wants or is even thinking half the time... half the time i dont even knwo whats going on... it is a relationship and it isnt all at the same time... and iv been an emotional wreck over this...and she has had a shit load of emotional problmes dealing wiht this as well so...it owuld make sense...
