Ok, so everyone likes different music etc, but where did it all start for you and how has it cahnged to what you like now? What influenced you or conditioned you to like whatever you like now?
can you see much cahnge in the future? Cause, i daresay, that over the last year or 2 my musical appreciation and openmindedness has increased 10 fold and i ma listening to stuff i don't think i'd ever anticipate about 2 years or so back. I guess it's partly a maturity thing as well?
Basically, i first got into music when i was 11-12 or so, well when i got my first records, which were Nevermind and Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Still like 'em today as well. But basically i started with a grunge background and quickly got into Soundgarden, AIC, Pearl Jam, STP and also Metallica. I think my main influence was my brother, who mainly listened to Hevay Metal-esque stuff so that sorta rubbed on me. Plus i was, like everyone, an angry teenager, so i listened to all this heavy stuff. Then my taste extened by looking at other artists and their influences and sorta stem and branch out from there.
So now, i literally like anything, and am open to try anything else out, which is great. It's sorta like 6 degrees of seperation really, where you could probably find some band which influences and rubs off on other bands and then they rub off on others and other styles and so theres a whole connection of influences and similarities which ultimatley joins all sorts of music together. So that was a quick wrap of my music evolution
