And more importantly, why?

I have a personal, spiritual relationship with my wolf like spirit guide, Umbeke. (pronounced Umm-bee-key) I believe in this spirit guide because it makes about as much sense as any other religion, but now I have an incoporeal spirit guide which makes funny, insightful comments as it travels by my side. Also, from time to time Umbeke suggests that I not do things which would negativly impact others. I started believing this last week after realizing that it is better to be an athiest and have a wolf guide, than an athiest without a wolf guide.
PS. Does having a wolf like spirit guide count as a religion ?
