It's hard for me to write a top 20 favorite bands list. And still it's hard what I did here - picking 5 bands from each decade. But for whatever reason I chose these bands as representative of my favorite music of each decade.

Anyways - if enough other people list their favorite music of the decades perhaps we could tally up the vote, if that wasn't geeky enough .
