last weekend i was there & was taken to what used to be called the limelight - i think it's called avalon now. it has a huge dancefloor & it's in an old gothic church. the night i was there (saturday), it was some kind of hard techno (i'm not wise to the subgenres), but the floor was littered with handbills for "nyc's darkest goth nite" or something like that.
