These pictures were taken 150 kms Southwest of Calgary, Alberta. In Canada eh? On the prairies. Some awsome storms can come through here.
To get a rough idea of the size of this storm and length of it, my wife and I we driving to Lethbridge from Calgary, a 200 km drive, and this storm started just as we were leaving Calgary. It was all around us. The largest storm I have ever been in. As we were driving we could look in any direction and see lightening.
Finally close to Lethbridge, I decided I couldnt let an opportunity like this pass me by. So we stopped. We were still surrounded by this huge storm system, it was amazing! Took 1 roll on my Hasselblad, 12 pics, and then just as i was packing up, it started to rain, what great timing!
