There are number of factors at work here. We can assist you, Smackre, but you'll have to provide more information. For example, what type of router are you using (make, model, wireless, etc.). Who is your service provider? What kind of cables are you using to string up your network? Can the two PCs "see" one another over the network when it DOES function? Are you PCs set for DHCP or static IP? Is your router setup for DHCP for itself and your network? Does your provider allow for static IP, if that's what you are using? Have you tried resetting the router? Are you using a firewall on one or either of your computers (software or hardware)?
