Inspired by positive responses to my submission in the weekly theme thread, I decided to post some of my new stuff:
This is a self-portrait I did as a final project in my Art 118 class. The focus of the class was on developing concepts and using color. The portrait is nearly life-size (total size is 6' high and 2' wide) and is done in pastels with ink outlines on brown paper (the heart is done in pastel, ink, and colored pencils on regular drawing paper).
