Do it now, and type in the smallest, simplest font you can still read, and just make sure you keep it organized. My teachers used to let me do this sometimes (usually it was just a 3x5 notecard, though) and if I did it at the last minute I'd end up with a sloppy, unorganized card that didn't do me much good anyway.
