This is a bit of an over exaggeration.
Patton was a good tactician. But he was
not, by no stretch of the imagination, one of the greatest military leaders of all time. Such accolades go to the likes of Napoleon, Grant, Shaka, Ho Chi Minh, Zhukov, Alexander the Great, Julius Caeser, Saladin, Hannibal Barca, Publius Cornelius Scipio and George Washington.
He was a great divisional general, but a world class military leader? I think not.
But "good" speech none the less... :-)
