There are several different 'families' of anti-depressant medication. Some of the most common adjust the seratonin levels in the brain. Seratonin effects the pleasure centers and can have an effect on sex drive (SSRIs include prozac, zoloft, and many others). Other medication types effect other body functions. Since sex drive is dependant in part on a wide array of body mechanisms operating in sinc, any adjustment can throw you off or maybe even fix poor sex drive problems.
This is only a layman explanation so it would be much better and safer to discuss this with her physican. They deal with this same problem quite often, and it can often be made better by a simple change of medication without having to do without effective treatment for depression.
