Matt's blow to the back of the orcs head had slightly raised the warlords heavy helmet, which until this time had covered all vulnerable areas of his grotesque skull from attack.
Vanelee saw his chance, mounted his arrow, aimed, and fired. Just as the arrow was launched, the orc looked up to see the attack, but he was a mere second to late to react. The arrow struck him in his exposed right temple, and drove itself halfway into his skull. The enchantment had done it's job in providing extra strength.
The orc let out an ear piercing scream, much higher than his usual roar. He then dropped his broken scimitar and grabbed at the arrow, breaking it off and stumbling back.
Vanelee was stunned that the orc was still on his feet, but soon relaxed as the warlord finall stumbled and fell ot the ground in a lifeless heap.
'Is it over?" the elf questioned.
