I'm reading a book about affirmative action, written by a black man with a college degree. The book touches on how blacks use victimology as an excuse to blame white people for their shortcomings (for lack of a better word). A story in there describes a man who was the Mayor of DC's right hand man. He used the phrase "niggardly" in front of his two coworkers (one was black). Now, this guy was forced to resign. The funny thing is, niggardly doesn't have anything to do with the word nigger. Niggardly was a word used by the vikings that means greedy or stingey. Even though his superiors knew what he meant, he was still forced to resign for fear of offending a certain group of people. Land of the free indeed.
