The creation of man by God, is the creation of the finite by the infinite. But with computers it would be the creation of the finite by the finite. They are the flawed created by the flawed, neither is infallable as in the case of God creating humans. So perhaps the computers would see our flaws and attempt to exploit them. There are no flaws to exploit in the infinite which is why we wouldn't kill God.
(That is, if that is your definition of God.)
