Would you kill God if given the chance?
With the advances in Artificial Intelligence it seems possible, although not probable to me, that at some point humans will create an intelligent machine. At that point the entity will have free will and be able to make its own decisions. I view this as the equivalent of a human suddenly becoming the equivalent of God. If you look at the premise of two major Hollywood movies (Terminator, Matrix) the new entity would be malevolent and would attempt to either eradicate humans or control them.
If I was suddenly the equivalent of God, I would see him as a kindred spirit and someone I could relate to rather than some kind of competetion I would have to quash.
