Well, two items I can suggest.
Are you using port forwarding for your P2P programs?
Also...
go to
www.dslreports.com and make sure that your RWIN and MTU for your router as well as your desktop are set correctly.
Try the "Tweak Tester" and it will help you make the correct settings.
