I notice that you say you can't earn money because it threatens your other benefits.
Do you know math? Play an instrument? Know some high school subjects? Another language? If so maybe you can try your hand at tutoring which pays cash usually so it's not reported, or any other job that's the same. I mean, it's probably not a long term solution, but it might help you a little for the month.
Or maybe you can take over your wife's job for the time being until she gets better?
