Still looking over from the other side of the valley/canyon, Dreggan knew that disarming the brute was a good thing, since the power behind each of his blows would only make a sword slash much more deadly.
Matt was out of action for know and the couple seemed to be in planning stage. But the orc was still advancing. The thief had to act quickly.
Crouching down, he concentrated and gathered his strength for a brief moment and leapt across the expanse separating him from the overlord. Somehow sensing his approach, the orc spun around deftly and swung his scimitar at Dreggan, who barely had time to dodge. He felt the wind generated by the swing graze his head and thankful for his training, managed to roll to the side and take out his sais. The warlord was already on him with another blow, which the thief dodge easily this time, as the sword dug deep into the rock. Leaping towards his opponent, Dreggan tried to plant one of his sais into the orcs wrist, which would make him unable to handle his sword.
The blow landed in a weak spot in the joint connecting the armour's forearm guard from the hand guard and the orc let out a roar of pain. However, as Dreggan was rolling away with a satisfied grin on his face, he saw with horror as the warlord, leaving the sai in his wrist, simply retrieved his sword and switched it to his left hand, which seemed just as dextrous as the right. Dreggan's smile faded, to be replaced by a glare of anger. The warlord smiled in turn and charged again.
With only on sai left, DReggan switched to his needles. Leaping away from the attack, he threw a few needles blindly, which impanted themselves harmlessly in the orc's armour.
