You know where I am on the spectrum. On this issue, however, I'll stand with the human/political/economic realities of the relationships that exist between the US and its neighboring countries. I'll acknowledge those realities, weigh them, and call them - on balance - positive. And I would state my agreement with Tom Ridge's recent statements on the matter. It is the forward-looking view and it is inevitable and best for all concerned.
