I haven't personally used the patch. My mother used it only for a short period of time - Two weeks. In those two weeks she managed to gain somewhere between 12 and 15 lbs. She was watching what she was eating at that time in hopes of loosing weight. She does eat healthy. Just not lots of junk food and very few sweets. As soon as she was off the weight gain stopped. It's not for everyone. I had a friend who used it and loved it. There are enough other options though that if you find you don't like it you can switch to something else.
