We used to play Halo "hardcore" about a year and a half ago. Me and my friends had a Halo tournament at one of our friend's house...it involved a 55" HD TV, a 27" widescreen, and two 19". One team was upstairs and one was downstairs. That was easily some of the funnest game experiences I've ever had.
There are a TON of people at my college that still play Halo religiously. If you hook up your XBox to the network here you can almost always join a game going.
