Alright, let's clear some things up. The majority of people who use "eh?" alot are east of the maritimes [mantoba, sask. etc], especially in Ottawa. Believe me, I've been out east. Here, in Vancouver, you might hear it being said extremely occasionally, but it's not really all that common.
Basically, it replaces "no?", as in 'You like it eh?' instead of 'You like it, no?'.
And for god's sake, it's CanAdians. We don't spell America wrong, so try and get our name right.
