I have the same gun that I use for turkey and deer, and the 3" Remington copper solid slugs will ruin your shoulder after a few rounds. If you want to have fun plinking, go with a .22. I have a Ruger 10/22 and couldn't be happier with it, there's also a lot of after market cool stuff you can buy for it.
