I switch around a bit, when i want him to come i go quicker and my grip becomes firmer.
But a tip or a suggestion i want to give to all of you is the screwdriver. I know it sounds painfull, but to my guy it's as closest to heaven as he gets!
I use both hands and place them firmly around his shaft (with the one hand) and the other above it. Then i gently (otherwise it can be too painful...) move them both in opposite directions (as if you would squish out a wet towel or something!)
I only use it now and then but he is always very pleasantly surprised when 'screw' him!
