Nina looked down at her reflection in the clear pool, then, cupping water in her hands, she brought it to her face and scrubbed the dirt from her skin.
She hadn't realized she had let her guard down, caught in the enchanted spell of the pool, until she heard a rustling in the trees and caught a quick movement in the corner of her eye. Startled, she thought of dropping into the water, but she wasn't sure how long she would be able to hold her breath and it would be better to face what ever was coming...
