I think a lot of these choices are good. I picked Clive Owen. He's not as big name as the rest of these guys and his work on the BMW film series showed his skills pretty well. His schedule would more likely be open for a few years to churn out some 007 goodness. Macgregor is a close second for me. He's got the class to do it.
I like Hugh Grant, but he's way too goofy to pull it off. Viggo, Jackman, and Crowe seem a little too rugged looking to do it. Jude Law seems too softspoken, and I thought Christian Bale was American, if not he could be a good choice too.
