If he says you're not ready because youre not mature, I'd have to agree with him. People who type out gr8ly instead of greatly might need to grow up a tad

22-16... That's just too much. He's 8 years older than you. Find a boy your age. I'm not sure what the legal ages are in England, but over here that is pretty much illegal in most situations.....
