i just started playing NFSU on sat. and i'm loving it. its arcade physics feel just right and the visual upgradablity of your car is really fun. the most fun i've had so far (on race 11 of 111) are the drag races. this is the one place where you must drive stick. i dont normally play w/ manual trans cause it just complicates things for this simple man.

they make it work though, but offering no curves and a quick tap of yor direction pad lets you change lanes w/out worrying about oversteer/understeer/etc. the only down side i see is that to earn reputation multipliers for style points, you have to trick your car out. most options are cool, but in RL i hate those lame muffler addons i dont like the feel that i have to add one to get the most out of the game. also, with some of the performance upgrades, they give the option packages of different manufacturers.... but i havent seen a diffence between any of them either visually or performance-wise. it seems like they were added in just to say they have XXX of manufacturers inthe game.

anyone else playing it?
